JK Unlimited w/Four Wheel Camper photochop

77blazerchalet made a IMHO very cool photochop for me of an idea I had; of a JK Unlimited and a FWC finch camper cabin.

I mean it is a first crude photochop; obviously the overhang is way too long and would have the be angled off, there would be a challenge of working around the roll bars etc, etc.

Am I the only one that would LOVE to see an affordable (10k range) camper cabin for the 4 door JK?

Very cool! Although a Falcon model on a 2 door Unlimited might be a better fit.

If they can do this with a Hummer, a Jeep shouldn't be too challenging -

I really think there is a market for a flip pac/wildernest/earthroamer style tent top without all the extra stuff that makes the ER so pricey.

think that the rear overhang is to long, but think was already stated. I think that if you put rear half doors, you could slide it in farther, causing less overhang. That would limit it to a 2 passenger, but I like the look of the J8, wish they would sell it in the US.

I had an idea for something like this as well. I used my LJ as a base. I thought this could be a good overland camper.

well....

Has anyone called flip-pac and asked if they'll modify their design, seems like they are pretty well set up to build a "flip over" style design based on their other stuff.

@swiss...$10K?? Yikes! I'd think realistically you'd be ~ $4K for a pop-up style shell, about what a flip-pac costs. Thing is, that's still a lot more $ than a RTT, so might not be as big a market as one might imagine

Could someone with some PS skills push that slide in further into the Jeep with some rear 1/2 doors?
