JKs max tow weight

I don't really have a dog in the fight, but it's my understanding that the 0-60 time is much improved with the 2012, and that can't hurt to have, as well as being 80lbs lighter then the 3.8.
I am looking at a JKU ether this year or next, I have no need to tow much so I'll pass up the F150 and Tacoma I've looked into...:smiley_drive:

BTW, the 285 HP 2012 JK barely gets more ponies to the tarmac than the 3.8L got. The autotrans is MUCH better but the HP and torque are more hype than reality.

What's important is the shape of the torque curve, not just the peak number. You'll find the 3.6 is much more "driveable" because it has a 'fatter' curve, with more area under it.
It's also matched extremely well to the auto trans, as you mention.
