Ah, Cholla! So pretty when back-lit, so ugly when front-lit...or in your tire, or sticking through your boot.

Thanks for the trip report. At least the big things went right--like getting home safe.

I have a camp list with everything i need to pack for camping. Everytime i forget something (or almost forget it) the list gets longer!

Cottonwood is usually a good place to camp, but because it is the first campground coming into the park from the 10 and because it's paved, it's the easiest for the masses to camp in. There are some great backcountry places to camp where you won't see another soul. There are some great spots to dry camp on Black Eagle Mine Road and Old Dale Road. If you must stay in a regular site, White Tank is easily my favorite place to camp.

Thank you, and yes we still had a good time, definitely won't forget a spatula again! :)

I agree, good place to stop when the oasis is open though. We spotted some new campsites along some of the larger rock formations that should work perfectly for next year.
