My family and I went to the Oregon Coast for a summer vacation. No off-roading, but some amazing vistas! We even came across a couple of Expedition vehicles....

It's a blast. So much to see. You have to eat at Mo's if you like chowder. We tried the original in New Port and in Florence.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to the "other" coast. You had good timing as the weather here has been perfect lately!

My mom and daughter just finished doing the drive up the coast from lower cali up to Oregon. And they had just stopped by the seal caves also. I’m wishing I could have gone with. Nice pic’s looks like you guys had a good time

I think we saw those same expedition vehicles when we were camping up at Kalaloch on the Washington coast the weekend of 7/9-7/11. Looks like you were fortunate with the weather too!

Cheers!

Forget Mo's!
If you are in Newport go to Sharks. Its on the west end of the bay front. I get the "combo pan roast". Its like a mix between of a chowder and a cioppino with oysters, dungeness crab and prawns. They cook it to order in a submarines steam kettle. AMAZING! One of my top 3 restaurants anywhere.

That's a great trip, we were just there from July 25th to Aug 3rd. Been there 10 times now (went all the time as a kid on family vacations). Been back a few times since and this last time with the truck.

Lots of fun on the dunes and beaches down there, we had a few beach campfires just like you on our trip there great!
