Just another First Generation Tacoma 4x4 build thread. Slow and Mild...

Hi All.

Figured that I ought to track the project somewhere. Starting with my bone stock 2004 Tacoma Extracab 4x4. Also, learning how to use a forum all proper-like.

I'm also splitting my time between California and Taiwan, so the ratio of daydreaming to doing isn't quite what I'd like it to be right now. C'est la vie.

End goal is to have more of this:

Nothing wrong with a mild build. In my opinion, there are too many style-point-mods on this forum. Keep it simple and upgraded as *needed*.

By the way, you're not the only one with a daydream/adventure ratio issue. :D

This thread will be a slow one, for sure. Heading home for a very short visit next week. I'll get some measurements, but that's probably about it. For now, I have to be happy with working in CAD.

This is the swingarm bumper that I'm working on right now.

So this is my list of things to do in the short-ish term:

Electrical tweaks:
Door light override switch
Door edge lights
DC distribution block underhood
Mirror mounted turn indicators
Solar panel, Second battery, USB/12V power distro panel and lights for the cap
Exterior Utility lights
Supplemental driving lights (light bar?)
External speakers or speaker jack

Storage
Swing-gate bumper (pictured above)
Roof basket (possibly mounting lights)
Better organized bed storage.
Capside Rack for Rotopax, fuel and water.

That's about it for now. Not really feeling the need for suspension mods, but I'll probably end up doing it anyway.
