JWaldz '99 Crawler Build

I'm sure quite a few of you guys have already seen my rig, either in person or on other forums. I figured one more forum won't hurt. After all, majority of us share the same hobbies and love for toyota's. Especially when they're built with a bunch of goodies! :D It turns out I've been a member of this forum since 2011. Seems I've forgotten all about it over the years. Shame on me.

Here's an extensive list of all my modifications. I'm simply copy and pasting from other forums. I don't have much plans at the moment for the truck. Before the end of next month I'm looking into getting a different daily driver. The 4Runner will be sitting in the garage for a while until I can figure out what I want to do with it next. I've got some ideas, but we'll see what happens. Anyways, enjoy!

Thanks.. It is, aside from my cv axles. The arb locker tends to explode them! I think I've snapped/exploded at least 8 or 9.

that or the 35s!

Sweet truck!! Love it! I was just going to ask how things were holding up with the 35's but the above post answered my question.

Thanks! lol yea, the 35's probably don't help either. It's not too bad offroad if I keep my foot out of the throttle. Sometimes, that's inevitable though. If the front locker is engaged I do everything in my power to keep the steering wheel straight and the speed low. Otherwise, bad things can happen. ON the road though, I don't see any abnormal wear that you wouldn't get from a completely stock truck. My cv angles are actually pretty good.

Yeah, I was more worried about the diff and the stupid clamshell on these. On my old 87, I had the opposite reaction to the ARB, and I kept CV's together very well. I know a lot of guys were blowing the front ends up even with the ARB when the housing flexes and the carrier then deflects and the ring and pinion eat each other. Sounds like your axles are giving out before that. BTW, are you running OEM?
