Kitchen Prep area material

Is there any fold-up or roll-up solution for converting my tail gate into a kitchen prep area?

I'm looking for something I can lay out on the tail gate to provide a clean surface for kitchen prep, and then wash it an fold/roll it back up again for storage.

What to you tail gate prep folks use?

I don't know of any but that is a great idea. We use our tailgate as a changing table, haha.

You might look at a silicone baking mat. Here is one at Amazon that is 24" X 36". Washes off easily and rolls for storage.
There are cutting mats of thin plastic that will also roll up. I have some that I carry that ran a buck apiece.

What vehicle is this for? Does the tailgate have a nice flat surface? If so, I think the above silicone mat would be a good choice. They cleanup well and the non-slip feature is nice for under cutting boards and cook stoves.

Landcruiser (80 series). The tailgate does provide a nice flat surface.

I think I will end up with one of the silicone mats. They seem like a good solution.
