2007 KTM 950 Super Enduro

USD $8800

This bike is immaculate.

It is a 2007 though virtually all Super Enduros are identical with the exception of the "Erzberg Edition" which came with some aftermarket equipment on it ( exactly which aftermarket equipment came on the Erzberg varies relative to where in the world the bike was sold new ). It has never been ridden in dirt, and it has never been dropped or crashed. The bike has NO issues or flaws.

It is 100% stock except for the Fastway foot pegs. If the buyer prefers the stock foot pegs they are available. I will sell the bike with either set of foot pegs but I want to keep the set which is not mounted on the bike as a spare set for my other 950 which I am not selling. Most people will want the Fastway pegs because they are nice stuff but the stock pegs are in new- condition and can be installed instead of the Fastway pegs in a few minutes.

The title is in my name and is free of liens and is NOT a salvage or flood title.

This is likely one of the last unmolested 950 SEs left. I bought it for a spare because I own two of these bikes but I have decided that one 950 SE is all I really need so I am selling this one.

I consulted various knowledgable 950 enthusiasts to see what they thought about how this bike should be priced and I have set the price at the low end of the range they suggested. I think this price is quite reasonable given the rarity of these bikes and the fact that this bike is an extremely clean and low mileage example. So I am not going to drop the price much.

======================================

I am willing to pick up a prospective buyer at RDU airport in Raleigh NC, in the event a fly-and-ride is planned.
I am also willing to deliver the bike a reasonable distance if the buyer has paid for the bike already and is willing to compensate me for the cost of fuel used.

======================================

Please PM me if you're interested. I don't look at PMs more than once
a day so if you PM me please be patient, I will reply to all messages
but if you send the message late in the day I may not see it until the
following day.

The terms of sale are :

CASH ( US dollars ) only.

NO trades

50 post minimum before I can post a bike for sale ? REALLY ?

It now appears my interpretation of the confusingly written rule was incorrect, so
this post is moot.

This rule was obviously made by someone who places no value on free time.

Some of us have lives which don't permit "hanging out" on internet forums
for extended periods of time. It takes a bunch of time to post 50 posts
on a forum, if the posts are actually going to be of value rather than just
meaningless stuff posted to satisfy this rule.

ADVrider, Horizons Unlimited, KTM Talk, and numerous other forums do not
require anywhere near 50 posts to be made before a member can post an item for
sale. Things seem to work just fine with the much lower post minimums those
web forums have.

If you insist on 50 posts, forum members won't get to see some nice bikes I am
selling. Who gets screwed by this rule ? The forum members get screwed. There are
plenty of other places I can advertise my bikes, and virtually none of those other places
have a 50-post minimum for advertising a bike owned by a private seller. It is simply
absurd to have a 50-post minimum as a requirement for posting a "for sale by owner"
ad.

That post minimum is to define businesses and isn't relevant to your personal for sale ad. No need to rally against the forums.

Thanks for clarifying the rules.

If what you write is true, and I tend to believe it is, then the rules need to be re-written in order that
the intent of the rules is made clear. As the rules are written now, it appears that anyone who has a post
count under 50 is considered to be a "business".

Here is how the current rule is worded :

"You are considered to be a business if you:

6. Have a post count less than 50."

By the way, the reason I thought the rule actually meant what it appears to say is that I posted the same ad
yesterday and that ad never appeared on the forum page. That caused me to go searching for
reasons why my ad never appeared.

good luck with sale, these bikes are incredible.
I assume you have listed in on advrider...
The # of people here that could actually ride that beast is probably pretty small.

Thanks for the kind words.

The 950 SE is actually quite easy ( and very fun ) to ride on paved roads or gravel or dirt roads. It's when you take it
into difficult off-road terrain that you'd better have excellent riding skill or failing that, self-restraint coupled with an
awareness of your own limitations as a rider. Frankly the same would apply to taking a BMW 1200 GS or a
Yamaha Super Ténéré into difficult terrain. The common denominator is that all the aforementioned bikes weigh over
400 pounds, and weight changes the dynamics of a bike in tricky off road conditions such that the physical strength of the rider
may not be sufficient to compensate for a mistake. With a skilled rider aboard, the 950 is capable of things which are ordinarily
only possible on a small dirt bike.

I tend to assume that a novice rider would not be interested in a 950 Super Enduro, but in the event a novice
rider was interested in buying the bike I have for sale I would do my best to dissuade that person from buying
the 950 Super Enduro. It is definitely NOT a bike for a rider of novice skill level. But for riders who do have the
skill to ride it there is simply no other bike in the world which compares ( ask anyone who has ridden one or who owns one ).
