now dont be hard on them.. i know what its like to be stuck out there,, they would have had to walk about 20 miles to the nearest lake with a cottage and phone,, ask me how i know,, this spring i got stuckwhile scouting out a new lake to fish (.yes i left my winch at home ) and had to call in a buddy with a unimog,, and he got stuck too,,

these guys though were only about 10 mins from where i was camped, had i known they were there i would have gone and gotten them the night before
i guess they were just exploring, and if they had real tires they never would have been stuck there ,,

the one that is not the the guy , thats my youngest daughter

Good on ya, since they were stuck overnight, did they at least bring some food and water out with them?

Yeah. She does look possibly cute (but what do I know, I've spent the last 11 months staring at Army women!:Wow1:).

Where was this area you go camping? I might like to go there when I'm up visiting the in-laws (the live in Dunnville, near lake Erie on the Grand River).

I bet you the first thing these guys did when they got home was order a Hi Lift and some recovery gear, with all those trees around them they could have self rescued had they been prepared.

I got a YJ stuck in a hole like that once, and it was an easy one to pull out. Me and my friend had to walk about a mile and a half to my apartment to get my XJ and then drive back out to the YJ but we got it out pretty quick. The hole was where a gigantic cottonwood tree had fallen over and its roots left the hole.

back in the spring i got stuck a few miles from there and like an idiot i was not prepared . no winch no high lift just a couple of straps.. i hiked out 12 miles before a couple of guys came along on atv's and offered up a ride to town .. thats when i got a ahold of the guy with the unimog, it was raining and 1;30 in the morning before we got out,, and i took my well deserved lumps, i have alway preached DONT WHEEL ALONE,, and the one time i broke the rule i paid for it,
i dont think the crusier was locked , i really didnt pay that much attention,

well im sure you make good money in the army , maybe i could set you up , she just just turned 16 though, lol,

this area is a nice hunk of crown land about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs north of toronto, there are tons of little lakes perfect for camping and fishing , and quiet a few nice trails for wheeling , everything from mild to extreemly wild, unfortunately some of the trails are getting too nasty, cuz the buggies are goin in there with there big a## 44's and bigger rippin it up,
you want to stay outta there in the spring early summer unless you bring a few extra quarts of blood with you,, the mosquitoes and black flies will drain you of about a quart per night,

I dont want to break your thread, but..

In my computer ignorance, all I get is little red x's with the pictures you posted. I cannot open them with right click and "open".

Any help out there?
