Their reputation goes up and down more than a Thai hooker.

The rack that I had way back when was o.k. Others I have heard first hand are crap.

Caveat emptor.

I really liked the BAJARACK

It was love at first sight. My black 89 RRC was parked beside this sweet white RRC and it was love at first sight. No, not the Rovers but me looking at the BajaRack on the other RRC at the recent BC Roverlanders yearly Founder's Day at the Agriplex in Cloverdale BC. It seemed to be very nicely designed with very sturdy construction. Now I'm just scheming on how to get one ordered from Columbia Rovers since they seem to be the closest supplier to me. There were about 65 Land Rovers at the meet so I was able to compare a variety of rack designs and it definately seemed to be one of the better ones. Of course it helped that they have a model just for the RRC but there are other models as well depending on what you drive.:victory:

What I was wanting were 2 racks, a front & a rear. The rear will have the RTT attached and I want to be able to lift the complete rack & tent off during the week, keeping the tent attached to the rack seems to be the simple solution..... after a coffee or three.....

However, I'm also thinking about making a sub-frame for the tent that is attached to the tent and locks onto the rack using simple clamps along the sides. Again, I want a system that is quick & easy to release to stow the tent in the ceiling of the garage. Having a seperate sub-frame would mean that I could keep the rear work lights on all the time.

Umm...... more thinking required...... :coffee:

Recieved my D2 back door ladder in the mail today..... well packaged and I'm pleased to say the quality is very good :Wow1:

All the welds are full 'circle' round the joints, well filleted and clean. The powdercoat finish is even and there is only one small blemish in the surface finish on the lower mounting strap.

All in all, a well packaged & presented product. I'm happy with it :wings:

If you can drive down you'll save tons in shipping as shipping to Canada gets really expensive, especially for a rack. The savings would probably pay for a weekend in Portland;)

I have an NWP ladder (now roverracks) that I bought along with a rack back in 2002. It took forever to get the stuff, but I really like the ladder...even better than the genuine ladders. I have since sold the rack and gotten an SD rack. I didn't have any complaints on the other rack, I just found a really good deal on an SD rack and couldn't pass it up. However, I have heard quality and customer service has greatly improved since the move/name change. I still have a hard time paying that kind of doe for something other than a Hannibal rack, IMO they are the only ones worth that kind of cash. I would just keep an eye out on Craigslist for some used racks just south of the border...there was one for sale in portland not too long ago

Here are some I just found. DIs and DIIs...there have been a **** ton of them on craigslist over the past year+ ranging from $50-1000 but the avg. is usually $400-700.
