Not sure if this had been posted before. If the seat flipped down to make a bed it would be really cool.

Edit: ok, "really cool" might not quite describe it. But I do like the pop up.

I thought this was kinda funny.

It is a bit debatable as to whether or not this is a real camper conversion or just a super duper picnic vehicle.

I think it would be cooler to sleep inside and eat outside.

Let's see gut everything aft of the B pillar, build a storage under floor with water and house battery(s) in former back seat foot wells. Add fridge, stove etc and wa-la a modern Dormobile.

Right a modern Dormobile without beds. Still a fancy picnic rig.

My initial impression was, "nice".

All that is true, but compared to the what's out there now at least it's a different option from the factory.

It looks a good idea and as the article said, with the option of a bed or more then it could be so much better Even if they marketed it as a 'weekend away' vehicle. It could be that those who buy that are more tempted to stay in a hotel over the weekend or something but it would make a great base for all sorts of things.

I was just at an event this weekend where regular cars were being used to overnight in for a few hours sleep between hikers coming through the checkpoints and being able to lie flat for an hours sleep in the vehicle is much more productive than sitting down in regular seats. But likewise I don't see it too much of a problem to convert this into a sleeper
