It was great to see everyone! Still bummed I couldn't join you for the Friday ExPo trail run, we'll have to schedule another one.

The Land Rover Rally was not only a blast, but a real treat for a Toyota owner to attend.

I am in Flagstaff ready to rendezvous with Desertdude driving in from California, after caravaning back from Moab with Scott & Stephanie driving Graham & Connie's most impressive 110 Defender; me driving the gorgeous, and I am in love with, Expeditions West Discovery 1, and Brian Mc. driving the always attention getting Expeditions West XV-JP EarthRoamer.

Every single LR owner that I met was incredibly intelligent, friendly, committed to land conservation, super fun loving, forward thinking, innovative, classy, and an inspiration to be around.

Moab can't be any better than in the fall. Some of the trees were just starting to turn a bit of color, the skies were super blue, the rocks-- mind shockingly red, the trails as fun and challenging as can be; and it was really hard to leave.

Many many thanks to the Land Rover folks that put this stellar event together. I have made some new really incredible friends---and oh yeah---the Magic 8 ball says there could be a Defender 90 in my future

And many many thanks to Expeditions West, Overland Journal and Overland Training for their sponsorship to the Land Rover Rally and to their commitment of making Overlanding a life time experience.

Happy Trails to All!!

What a great looking lineup of vehicles. How are you liking the XV-JP? And who's Defender is that?

The Defender 110 belongs to Graham Jackson, who is in the picture facing the camera in a blue shirt.

It was a great time with participants from as far as Canada, Vermont and Puerto Rico visiting Moab. On the last night, the guy who won the prize Discovery also won a subscription to Overland Journal - Imagine the incredible luck!

Here are few shots of the wide variety of Land Rovers represented!

There is a Land Rover in this one somewhere!

I don't think so. The owners said it was a '63 Blazer, but there were several tube buggies that started life as a recent (2006 ish) Range Rover and a couple Discoveries.

We ran Pritchett with the owners of the above buggy, Heath and Dusty -- two of the nicest people I met on the trip, but they were not actually involved with the rally before they happened to get in line with us on the trail.

If you look at the ground below it, you can see the evidence of a few leaks -- so it must be a Land Rover!!
:hehe:
