Not to try to be a jerk or anything but you had already asked about the Gen-Right in the other thread. From what has been researched, no one has a larger one for the '97+ Cherokees. There is one available from Australia but it's $800 plus shipping. Already checked into that one. It's like 32 gallons.

If you haven't spent any time at NAXJA.org, I would highly recommend them as well for XJ specific info. Tons of info if you search for it over there.

Deathwagon - that only works for '96 and earlier.

Hi Mike,

And I searched and asked over at NAXJA too...

I'm still trying to get some good info on running a second tank. I'm thinking a 7-10 gal fuel cell(w/skid) with the filler siamesed in to the stock fill tube. Run a transfer pump. Flip it on when the low fuel light comes on and I'm good to go for another 200 miles over the road. Just wondering if there is any one out there running anything simalir...

Cool, just trying to help out.

I know working up under my XJ this past weekend, there is just not a ton of room to put a second tank unless it's really small. I would definitely not put it inside unless you have some way to seal it from the rest of the interior. Don't want any possible leaks or vapors to be inside.

As for your idea of a transfer pump, that would work fine. I think Scott did that on his Toyota and I have read of a few others doing that. The hard part is figuring out the second tank mounting and filling.

Good luck with coming up with something and share pics if you do. :D

It's all good!

I'm in the city and my XJ is parked out on Long Island so I can't get under it and look around 'till this weekend.

Providing you could find space w/o obstruction, having the filler integrated seems like it would be the hard part...
