Largest Lr3 auxiliary battery?

Hi All,

Read an older thread about stuffing a 110 amp hour battery into the stock auxiliary space on the Lr3.

Curious what the consensus is about the largest battery that will fit with minimal modifications to the battery box? Anything larger than a group 34?

I don’t think anything much bigger to be honest. It’s not like you can get a 150 or 200 Ah battery in there. If you want really big like a 200, add a DCDC charger behind your second row seat below the floor, and connect it to a 200 Ah LiFePo. Power for days. That’s what a run but for now it’s only a 100 Ah in my LR4. My LR3 has a normal AGM in the aux batt spot, but its usefulness is not nearly as good as the LiFePo.
