Last minute question

I had the best of intentions to wire up my van with a whole system I have been putting together and have just run out of time....

My Question:

Can I wire my engel fridge directly to my primary battery?
Will the Engel drain my battery before the night is through?

It is a brand new battery I bought today. Interstate MT-41

I have a simple solar system that I thought I could wire to primary battery as well so that i would be ok if we decide to hang at camp for any long duration.

If you get below 10.8 volts, it will cut the power, so you can still reset it to start the truck. The Battery Brain Gold is what I have set up in my rig. It has saved my tail a couple of times.

Wiring from the battery to a junction block with the battery brain in between would be the best solution. Wiring directly to the battery makes you vulnerable to a drain. One of those things where its better to be safe then sorry, IMO.
