Laurie Bridger
Was invited to the forum by "Nalgene" on ROF... so I'll start with a little introduction...
My name's Laurie - I'm 23 - I live in Dubai and Oman in the Middle East and if anyone's doing a trip to this part of the world feel free to give me a shout
:camping:
The Jeep is gradually coming together how I want it... still a huge amount left to do but the budget vs. what I want means things will happen slowly
Anyway - a couple pics and features:
Vehicle:
2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport, Export Specification, 4.0L Engine, 5-speed manual, Dana 44 rear axle, Dana 30 front axle.
Enhancements:
Body:
AEV Highline Fender Conversion - now debating what size tire to go up to!
Road Armor Front Bumper - now crash-tested. It's big. It's heavy. It does it's job.
ARB Safari Snorkel
Bestop Half Top
Hood Lift
Wheels, Tires, Suspension:
Bilstein 5150 shock absorbers
******** Cepek 4" Lift kit
JKS Trackbar and Disconnects
15 x 8.5" alloys
33 x 12.50 R15 Yokohoma Geolandar AT/II's - fantastic all-purpose tires
Engine:
Stock. Why mess with that tried and tested reliability.
Electronics:
Auto Dimming Mirror
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Bluetooth
Garmin Street Pilot 7200 w/ City Navigator Middle East V4
Alpine DVD Head Unit
iPod integration
JVC Dash Mount video camera
Worldspace Radio
Lighting:
Xsighting HID Headlamps
PIAA Auxiliary lamps front and rear
On the to-do list:
WAECO fridge freezer
Nth Degree suspension
Give Nitto Mud Grapplers a try
Sound Deadening
SwayLoc Swaybar
Kilby OBA
Kilby Rockers
ORO AiRock
GenRight fuel tank
Heavy duty axles
Autohome roof tent
Recaro Seats
Brute conversion - if I can get it street legal over here
5.7L Hemi conversion - if I can get it street legal over here
It's a lot of fun as it is... The Bilsteins are brand new and make for a very comfortable ride. Wish I'd done them years ago.
