Leaking air struts cause suspension fault?

Just wondering, does a leaking air bag cause the "suspension fault normal height only" code to come on? My front two air bags have a small leak on them. I discovered it with my leak soap that I use from my natural gas job ironically haha. I also get the suspension fault message on the dash. Any help is appreciated!

it's possible... on the bright side, at least it is normal height only, and not bump stops. When I had a leak, there was an occasional tip fault, and the computer error said "too many transitions"

Is it the bag, or at the top of the strut?

It's right on the seam of the black rubber bags. When I soap it down there is a fuzz leak coming out of about half the seam. Installing new front struts today.

So I installed two new fron air struts today, no more fault codes! Woo. Also took out the front valve block and took it apart cleaned the o rings and then reinstalled. Trouble free now. The new shocks are nice and firm I like the ride

nobody that i had seen sells the struts WITH dust/mud boots. Yet, there is a "genuine" land rover boot kit for the front as well as what IS delivered on vehicles for the rear. Weird, no lr3/4 have front boots on WHY?? Anyway, they're easy to put on when the strut is fully removed.

There are automotive type metal retaining rings but you could actually use a long zip tie or like I did, 3M super 88 electrical tape wrapping several laps to hold the lower boot up onto it's sitting position. I did it mainly to keep in place until I decided on zip ties or sourcing the correct tool for the special metal rings but that was ....a year ago and they're still just fine but I do want to get the tool for the single use metal ties.
