I've been dealing with this for some time now, a previous fix worked by getting some RTV Silicone between the glass and the rubber.

The fact that it's coming in at this location is allowing the water to get past the water trough, and just drip straight down onto the seat....

Anyone else encounter this? What did you do? Any ideas for a more permanent fix?

Have you tried cleaning the drains in the corners, and the tubes that run down through the pillars?

Definitely check the drains. The rubber seal isn't water tight and wasn't designed to be so. It has a trough that water goes into and drains down the front corners.

We've got a cool little drain snake that looks very similar to what a plumber uses to clean them out when they get stopped up.

The drains are fine, they were checked the last (first) time this happened, and they drained a gallon of water just fine...

The place where the soft seal meets the glass is leaking, and as such allows the water to drip into the cabin, BYPASSING the normal drainage system.

I rarely, if ever, open the roof, so nothing gets in there to clog it up.

I guess I'm just going to have to silicone the snot out of it to seal it back up. The last time, that worked for over a year. It looks like it would be complicated to change the seal for a new one.

Hmmmm... I think more silicone is just, well, more silicone. I'd consider replacing the seal.

If you decide to tackle the seal and replace it give me a call. Have tools, will travel ;)

Sigh... I know what I SHOULD do... You're quite the motivator, Doc. It's odd, I'd rather work on Trump's truck, or yours, before my own. I have about a half dozen projects I have the parts to complete, and have not... My current goal is to finish my chuckbox before the Rendezvous.

Let me see if I can find the part, and I will take you up on your offer.

Can you take a pic of where it's coming in at? Shouldn't have to be siliconed. I'll try to take a look at one tomorrow and get an idea.

I'm going to have to go to Toyota to find out the part number/price.. Couldn't find out anything today, and due to the weather, I siliconed it again.

I'm going to make a list tonight of one project per day for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, as Thursday will be Rendezvous prep, pullout is Friday morning.

I didn't snap a pic, but I think the water is coming in at the seam in the plastic at the front middle of the window. There was a nice gap there, that is now flooded with silicone, and tidied up with silicone smoother to make it look nice :)
