LED Light Bar Hesitation

I recently installed a 20" Ridged light bar.

It works great, except sometime there is a several second delay between turning on the switch and when the lights actually come on.

It seems to be worse during colder temperatures, but I can't be sure.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Is there a way to prevent this?

Thanks.

it's quite likely the LED "Driver" powering up,
try turning the light on several seconds before you intend to need it ;-)

When I installed Rigid LED backup lights on my truck, the first few times I used them, they would spontaneously go off at about 30 second intervals, stay off for maybe 15 seconds, and then come back on. Timed it with a stop watch, and it was very precise. Called Rigid, they told me to check my installation, and then the problem disappeared before I checked or changed anything. Beats me.

nope. i've used mine when it was as low as -27f and they were instant on. did you try getting ahold of rigid? they would be the first people i'd ask if i had a problem

If I am using my lights triggered with high beams, I want them to work when I turn them on. Not some several second delay. I thought LED lights were "instant on". Yes, my HIDs do not hit peak brightness until like 2 seconds but as soon as I flick the trigger they light up bright.
