LED Light Bar on a Yakima Rack.

So I think I'm going to get the Yakima Megawarrior Basket for my Cherokee. Now, Yakima sells light mounting brackets that fit this basket which is great. However I want to run a 40" LED light bar on it and I feel if I mount if on the top (of the brackets) in will be to tall and I run the risk of smashing it into stuff, branches, low hanging signs, etc. So I was considering mounting the bar underneath the bracket so it's where the Yakima wind deflector would be. What are your thoughts? Anyone running this or a similar set up?

You should have plenty of clearance mounting it below the air deflector or in front of the air deflector. Here's a good source for light clamps. http://axiaalloys.com

Be careful, you'll get a ton of glare off the hood. Most led light bar manufacturers will tell you to mount a bar low to get the most effective lighting.

Just curious if this project was ever finished. I recently picked up a BullBar Mounting Brackets Clamp set from ebay for my Yakima bars but the 1" clamp doesn't seem to fit the 1" bar from Yakima.
