LED spot/flood light with switch on the housing

I am trying to find out if there is a company out there that make a LED flood light with a on/off switch built into the light housing. I to install on my LJ's tailgate and use it as a cooking/camp light. I want the switch on the light housing so I won't have to go back and forth to my center console to turn the light on/off. Plan on putting it on a telescoping pole so when fully retracted it will light up the rear area of my jeep and when fully deployed it will act as a flood light for the camp area. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

I was thinking about putting the switch on the pole or my spare tire carrier (where I will be mounting the pole to). I am worried about the switch holding up over time since it will be outside the Jeep and exposed to the elements.

That is one reason why you probably won't find a light with a switch on it. Just too hard to make it weatherproof.

You might consider mounting the switch inside the Jeep, near the tailgate, where you can easily reach it from the back.

You can get outdoor rated switches, I saw this one recently - wouldn't be too hard to fab up something similar.

The trick is to put one end of the twin core wiring in the chuck of a cordless drill and the other end in a clamp or vise to twist it up, then run it around the outside of a spreader bar tent pole.

I have a light setup on the rear of my gobi for similar uses. Likewise, I didn't want the switch at the front or anywhere that would require opening a door but couldn't find a switch I would like once mounted. I ended up using a remote controlled 12v switch I found at a local farm equipment supplier made by fimco. Has a simple key fob and works from about 100 ft away. It's been nice to light up the campsite from the tent when something makes noise in the middle of the night.

I have a couple of LED lights on my tire carrier and set up the wiring so that I had a double-pole switch. That is, I can switch on each light from the center console or from a switch at the rear of my Jeep. If I had to do it over again, I think I would just run the lights off a Bluetooth-enabled relay instead. It would be much easier to install and I could work everything off my phone.
