Legit New Tool, or Well Intended Gimmick?

Been thinking about these today, can't decide if they are legit, or just another "lazy mans" way to avoid shoveling, and likely to cause more damage then they prevent.

On one hand, I can think of dozens of times where having an "inflatable rock" to fill a ditch or a hole between two boulders would have saved lots of time and backache. On the other hand, I have this mental picture of trucks slipping sideways/diagonally, spinning tires, and SUV's generally acting like elephants on roller skates.

Thought/opinions/experiences?

It was featured in OJ, for the life of me, I don't remember what it said. Looks promising.

Man my jeep is getting full of recovery gear--(not really)

What I remember from the review was they have their uses, but you are generally better off with a bridging ladder and/or maxtrax type product

:sombrero: Heh Heh, thats all true-

These XTraxs weren't mentioned (again) and they're great for sand/snow/w no tire spin, so autos are a little superior for stuckees-

Of course--no bridging, but will fill the "GAP" and provide traction on both sides-
