Let’s Swap Trucks!

You have a 2011 or newer 4x4 Nissan Frontier Pro (or maybe a Colorado or Canyon), in the long bed, extra cab configuration. It’s too dang small, can’t pull much of a trailer, and can’t carry much of a load...even a pop up shell is too heavy a camper for it

I have a really nice 2003 low mileage Chevy K2500 HD 4x4 short bed, ex cab, with the very powerful 6.0 gasser, that can haul a big ass trailer (has trailer brakes controller, class 3 hitch and hidden gooseneck hitch), and that can carry a nice, big, heavy, livable camper (CCC about 2700 lbs).

I’m looking for a smaller truck, you’re looking for a bigger one.

Soooooo......Let’s swap ‘em, with some nice extra hard cold cash coming to you from me.

I’m interested in making this happen sometime in about the next two months.

Thanks mucho.

I’m in southern Arizona (rust free vehicles here!).

Interested?

PM me.

And.....I might possibly also consider a low mileage AWD Chevy/GMC regular WB full sized van, or even a 200 Series LC (for completely different projects I have in mind). Please tell your friends too if any of them have a Frontier or one of these vehicles.

Might be helpful to list a value that you have in mind for your truck, give people an idea of where you are at?

Oh yeah, right....good idea, thx!

I didn’t go to the trouble of initially posting all of the specifics about the truck because I figured I’d prefer to share that detailed info with only interested people who responded to the possible swap idea. I could be accused of just being lazy in that regard, I suppose.

If I sold my truck, I’d ask about $11,500. And yes, I’d have the cash available to cover the difference between my truck and your newer rig.

Basics:
Newer 265x16 all M&S tires, very good tread on them, body in very good shape as pics show, grey cloth interior likewise in very good condition, power adjustable driver seat, power doors and windows, cruise/tilt, 40/20/40 front seat, rear defroster, auto tranny, all under 90k miles, mechanically sound, dual a/c, alarm, full gauges, power chipped, minor lift, sweet throaty exhaust...

So, why am I proposing this type of swap?

For one thing, I thought it would be kind of fun to see if anyone was unhappy with their smaller truck after using it and finding its limitations, and see if they were interested in a swap of some type. That kind of stuff just makes my life more interesting, I’ve found! ?

Otherwise, I’ll just sell my truck outright (and be also posting that “for sale” here) and then look to probably buy a brand new Frontier (they’re not that expensive).

Anyhoo, thanks for looking.

I’m pulling the plug on this idea for now.

I think I’ll gonna go with getting another summer’s use out of it and then wait until the 2020 remodeled Frontier comes out.

Thx for looking though.
