Let's see some truck bed drawer systems\ jerry can haulers!

Hey Everyone!

I've got a 2011 F-150 XLT Supercrew 5.0L (short bed) that's going to be my primary camping\adventure rig for the next few years while I work on my 94LC. I really want to do a drawer system in it and I'm plenty competent to build one. Right now, I'm in the planning phases, and I've got an idea in my head that involves a jerry can mount\box in the back, and a drawer system that fills most of the rest of the bed, with an overhead rack to provide some additional storage of large items (max trax, shoves, hilift, etc). I'd also like to make everything semi-permanent, as I do use my truck as a work truck.

To start, I want to see what everyone else is running to get some more ideas! So, people of expo-portal...what do you have going on in your expo truck beds?

i did mine by myself. cost me around $200-$300. i used skateboard bearings from amazon (60 pcs total), 3 plywood, 3 ls100 marine slam lock from ebay and 20'x4' polymat from amazon.

That's sharp! I like that design with the skateboard bearings! How do you keep the drawers from just sliding the whole way out?

there's a L bracket on top and it uses the same L bracket to lock the slam lock.

Hey Raul B, I reall dig that F-150! That's very sweet! I like that decked system a lot....I love how it attaches! That's brilliant! A thousand bucks is just a little rich for my blood. I think building one is going to just be the way to do it for me.

I really dig that truck though! You've got some great gear. Loving that hidden winch plate. I think that's what I'm going to do, ultimately. I don't hate the stock bumper on my truck and that's a great way to hide a full-size winch!

Thanks for the compliment. The truck has served me well. Im actually going to part the truck out before I sell it. Not sure where your located but if your in socal I would give u a good deal on the decked system..

Central Iowa area. :-\ Seems like that would be a little big to ship at a reasonable price. I'll PM you...there's a few things on there I would be interested in!
