SOLD.

got a big diesel truck, so i'm selling my lifted astro. details:

1998 astro awd. lifted 5-6 inches with components from overland vans and some custom parts. clears 31" bfg mud terrains with some cutting of the body trim. not sure where to start, so i'll do the classic pro's and con's list.

pros:
runs/drives/shifts great. very dependable- took a 6000 mile road trip a year or two back, frequent trips to central oregon, canada and elsewhere with no trouble.
lots of maintenance done: water pump, O2 sensors, rear main seal, suspension components, pass window regulator, fluid changes, etc.
asking price includes roof rack, box, and a set of studded 30" light truck snow tires on rims that make this thing unstoppable in the snow and ice.
hella 500 foglights, relayed.
tow package and adaptor
nice aftermarket pioneer stereo USB compatible with polk speakers, and amp, and a JL sub in the back door.
air horn. people move.
gets as good as 20mpg
extensive service of the brakes last year with new pads, rotors, drums, soft lines, etc.
bought from the original owner six or so years ago, and up until then it lived a normal of highway tours and dealer maintenance.
clean title in my name.
this van has been a motorhome, snowboard shuttle, tow truck, wheelbarrow, hood to coast/cyclocross, road, and mountain bike race support vehicle, ambulance (a few times), scrap hauler... etcetera. very versatile machine.

cons:
currently at 231k
fuel gauge does not work properly
speedo reads 10% slow from the larger tires
missing rear carpet, it got pretty bad over the years. drivers seat worn, stickers on the door panels keep them from disintegrating. in so many words it's pretty beat up inside... but it's not gross or unrepresentable. i guess that's subjective.
gets as bad as 14mpg.
i crashed it in the snow (when i was too lazy to swap the studs over a few years back), hence the repainted panels. i have a photo of the extent of the damage, i replaced everything with new and used parts and the alignment shop got everything in spec. it drives as well as you would expect a lifted vehicle to, in fact it steers better than my stock dodge pickup.
the hatch lock no longer works from the outside. the button failed so now you have to crawl in to lock/unlock the back.
leaks in the back doors if you park downhill.
leaks a little oil. very little... and not every time you park... but it looks like the front crank seal weeps a bit. definitely not bad enough to worry about unless you park on something fancy.
uses a little oil as well- also within tolerance. i put some in every couple times i get fuel.
i'm sure there are quirks that i've gotten used to but don't come to mind, but all the important stuff works. tags are up next month but it's always passed emissions fine and there are no check engine lights or such issues.

asking $1950, paper american money
