Howdy ExPo Shoppers,
Today I'm bringing you my well loved, modified, used, 2nd LR3/Discovery 3 with ~203,000 miles on it (along with a bunch of additional parts). Let's get this out of the way; I'm asking for $3,500 and I'd be willing to hear about your offer. I'm trying to pass this vehicle onto a good home because it doesn't fit into mine anymore.
So what do you get for your hard earned dollars?
Pros:
This LR3 is optioned out and comes with a litany of creature comforts:
- 7 Seats that can all accommodate a person my size (6'2")
- 4.4L Jaguar V8 provides ~300HP/~315 LB-FT torque
- Front heated seats & rear heated seats
- Multi zone climate control for all 7 Seats
- Cooler in the center console
- Bi-Xenon Headlights that turn with the steering wheel to illuminate further into the corners
- Terrain Response; these programs allow you to select the way that the traction control modulates the 4WD based on the terrain ahead. This is functionally the same technology that's being sold new on Jeeps today.
Cons:
- Left front height sensor isn't doing the best (could be the electronic lift, might be the sensor failing - I've got a bin of them to go with the truck)
- Transmission is on its way out - slips a bit and won't go into Low Range most of the time
- Over ~86 degrees F the engine runs rich
- Shows some signs of use
I've worked on and used this truck for many years and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere; to wit I drove it from NYC to DC (by way of the Pennsylvania Wilds) to list it and sell it. I'm more than happy to talk about what's been done, what needs to be done, and how to do it.
This forum has been good to me and I'd like to be good to it - let's find this LR3 the right home.
