Light bars on roof racks.

Anyone running a light bar on their roof rack? I'm picking up a 40 inch light bar and mounting a u cradle bracket http://imgur.com/jcHbOK5 on the t slots on the front of my AEV roof rack. I didn't like the light brackets that rhino sells so I decided to modify the front rail on my AEV rack in order to integrate the light and bracket into the front rail.

Few questions come to mind.

What's the cleanest way to run the wiring? Drill a hole thru the hard top? Run down rain gutter & down the A pillar?
What is a good switch location?
Will a stock JK Battery be enough power for a 40 inch light bar?

For the wiring... don't even think of drilling a hole in the roof. Crap... just realized you have the AEV rack. Umm... You could run the wiring in one of the holes for the AEV rack, or try with running the wiring in the seem between the panels. You don't need much wiring for the LEDs, so figure out the smallest wire possible (12g would be the biggest I'd use, but you could probably get away with 14 or less - BUT CHECK!).

Most use the empty spot to the left of the steering wheel (it's empty there). The stock battery can handle a hell of a lot more than just those LEDs. Don't even worry about this. I run high wattage HIDs and my fridge, and have never once had an issue.

The AEV rack is semi permanent and requires access to hidden brackets to remove the top. Regardless, I'd like to run a quick disconnect at the light. I found this deck seal that WIKid's Running on his Baka light system on his FJC. http://m.imgur.com/vXKH1Py

He claims it is waterproof.

Not so sure about the mechanical actuator but the concept is the same.
