Light Mount - Security Fastener Question

I am looking at security fasteners used for lights, etc.

The Rigid Kit: http://www.rigidindustries.com/product-p/rgdsec20.htm

Same thing at McMaster Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#security-nuts/=k38vuo

I have a Wheeler Bit Driver Kit. It is mostly a bunch of various gunsmithing bits. Here is a link to the tool:

http://www.cabelas.com/gun-smithing...1&mr:keyword=&mr:match=&mr:filter=43601101871

Two of the bits look like they could work for the McMaster security bit, but I'm not sure. The Weaver/Ruger scope ring clamp bit #777-831 and the Mauser Stock Bolt Bit #117-997 are the two I think might work. (The weaver bit is in the upper left in the Image in the Cabela link above)

The CAD drawing on the McMaster site does not specify the distance between the drive holes, but does give the size of the fastener at 1".

The weaver scope bit has its drive lugs just about exactly 1 cm apart or 3/8"

I'd prefer not to spend money ordering a duplicate tool if I can avoid it. Do any of you know if these bits in the Wheeler kit might work?

I use a simple and inexpensive method to secure my lights and doodads on my 60. I drill the mounting bolt and drive in solid steel dowel pins that protrude about an 1/8" on each side of the bolt. Most thieves don't have a small punch to drive them out and probably would not want to start hammering while they try to steal your parts! I have used this method for over 30 years with no losses. Most hardware store sell the pins and you just mark an easy to install location while the lights are mounted, drill and tap in the pins...Done in 15 minutes.

Theres a thread on a desert forum where someone lost a 20" E series. He had those Rigid locks on his rig! Chances are if someones hunting for a LED light that cos a arm & leg like that, then they have those keys!

I've had luck tacking my nuts in place. Did this after I lost my HID lighting. I tryed the KC locks and still lost lights.

well my tool to remove my lights in that box lol. I use tamper proof torx bits..torx bits with the hole in the middle. 3rd row on the bottom half.

I feel confident enough that no one will be carrying those around all the time. And my jeeps behind a fence at all times so I should be ok I'm hoping!
