Light Tower Conversion

I ended up with a light tower trailer from work with a bent axle and no light tower. It has a heavy duty 1/4" steel frame and a nice steel box.

In an effort to make it lighter, I pulled the box off the steel frame and mounted it to an Almunium Frame, which left quite a bit to be desired in terms of rigidity.

I decided to stick it back on the steel frame and replace the bent Axle with a 52" 3500# Axle, 1500# Springs and 27" Tires. ($150 for 3 tires vs $400 for two 4Runner Rims and Tires)

Once I mounted it up, the factory fenders no longer matched and I decided to use some alumnium ramps as Fenders/Sand Ladders

I need to source some mud flaps and a skin/covering for the Sand Ladders, at the moment I am using a pair of heavy duty cordura bags (not pictured)

Used two E-Track Rails, four E-Track Spare Tire mounts (that stuff is brilliant!) and some old Yakima Bars to Mount up the RTT. Harbor Freight provided the Tounge Box

We ran it down to the Texas Coast this past weekend for a test run, and I am pretty happy with it

I need to figure out a spare battery, kitchen and drawer slide for the fridge, but it's a pretty turn key little trailer and the price was right!
