I have been looking for a small trailer for some light trails. I'm not a rock crawler, just a dirt road guy. Anyway, I have always liked fiberglass RV's because they seem to do pretty well against water leaks and look to be lower maintenance. Little Guy makes a fiberglass trailer that is very small and light, no galley, but has AC and Radio/TV called the MyPod. I got a great deal on a used one and started trying to see how I could poor boy my way into a little more capable trailer... The trailer uses Dexter Torflex #9 axle, so I used a Dexter 2 5/8" lift and then figured out that the largest tire that I could fit would be a 205/70/15. Yokohama makes a Geolander AT G015 in that size and that was what I got. I tried a 215/75/15 but that would not have worked in an AT tire. Basically its the smallest AT that I could find. I think it will do what I need it to do, if not I will consider upgrading the axle to a 45* starting angle as opposed to the 22.5* that is currently on there.
Here is a before with 13" 175/80/13 and after with 15" 205/70/15.
