Hi!

It's a bit of a long shot but if someone knows of a 1996-2002 4Runner with dead engine/tranny or something similar, please let me know.

I am looking for something really cheap even if it needs a lot of work.

Thanks!

Keep an eye on Craigslist or check out the public auto auctions (best if you know someone with a dealer's license to get you into the "better" auto auctions).

yes I discovered copart a few days ago - however I read about a lot of bad experiences with them (title never came, paperwork missing, storage fees, etc, etc). The conclusion was that it's better to buy a car from them only if you need the parts.

Has anyone bought from them?

Thanks!

What are your plans for this said truck? I am looking for a 4runner too, but a little older...I look forward to reading about this!

Cheers

Thanks guys for looking. May be more difficult to find that I thought.

I will be heading a different route instead.
