I'm looking for pics of 80-96 f250 with different tire sizes. I'm looking to eventually get tires this year for my 93 f250 uhauler project.

I had an 83 f250 with LT255/85/16 bfg muds that worked great and i've also had an 84 f250 with a 2 1/2" lift that I put 35/12.5/16.5 bfg muds on.

My current truck is a 7.3 diesel,5 speed, 4.10 gears, 235/85/16. I don't want to lift this truck but am considering trimming the front fenders a little if needed, the rear looks like there is plenty of room. Even with the overdrive it still seems a little low geared. I'm looking at 285/75/16 or 315/75/16 not only for improved off road performance but to help it cruise down the freeway.

Here's a picture of my wife's '91 with 285/75-16 BFG's. No lift, but airbags on the front to level the dreaded IFS sag.

Tom, now that is a truck I can relate with. Would you be willing to share more details in a new thread? I have the 90 in the same flavor. Very nice truck!! Welcome to the Expo also, its a great place to hang out.:wings:

I'll see what I can do. That's just one of three. I have plenty of pics. Don't want to hi-jack UHAULER's thread.

Thanks for the welcome.

Hi-Jack away. I just want to see pics of similar trucks with different tires. Are those 8" wide rims ?

Yep...eight inch wide. You probably already know this, but I'll throw it out there anyway since tires are one of the things I'm kinda anal about. Due to the weight of your truck (front) and what you're doing in the back, I would stay away from floatation sizes and stick with LT's. The tires on my wife's truck are load range D's. Last time I checked, BFG AT's in 285 didn't come in load range E. For the life of me I can't understand that. I put 265's (BFG AT's) on my daughter's truck and they looked real nice. Those you can get in load range E and they will fit on the stock steelies. I don't have pics of that truck with the new tires. I will put some pics of the truck up in another thread, but it doesn't have those tires on it. It just has add-a-leafs on the front for leveling...I think I like that better than the air-bags. Wanted to try both ways for comparison. By the way, both trucks are diesel 5 spds. Very heavy in the front.

Just for comparison, I added a side by side pic. On the left is my daughter's truck with stock size 235/85-16's and add-a-leafs...and on the right is my wife's truck with 285/75-16's and air bags on the front. Hope this helps.

Nitto makes a 10 ply E-load in 305/70. Not too radical in size and looks good without any contact! I will take a picture and post later...
