Looking for a camper.

I am looking for a camper to put in the back of my truck. Its a Dodge 3500 with an 8' bed. I am looking for a pop-up of some sort. My #1 need is it must have AC and it should allow me to be able to tow my Jeep and trailer behind me. I have a 1975 Amerigo now that is just way to large for what I am looking to do.

What is your budget? New or used?

'Most' popups didn't/still don't come with AC as an option - so most of the used market is out.

The Palamino Bronco has optional AC in the new market...

Look for a used Northstar TC 800. They come pre-wired for AC in the rear window. Scan Craigslist and it'll happen. If everything in life was a reliable as this camper has been,life would be a breeze. Another benefit of the popups is the abundance of windows. There's usually lots of breeze flowing through.

I'll probably be financing it so around 10,000 would work. I think new Palominos go for that much.

I tow a trailer as well and went with an 8' popup for almost the same reasons, less weight and no over hang. I think you'll like it. And AC would be nice in the summer....
