Looking For Info On Rated Recovery Points

The recovery points I am interested in are visible at 7 min in the video,it is the red piece of steel the winch rope is hooked to. Is that available for US full size pickups?
I have stock front and rear bumpers,it would be nice to have a solid recovery point like what is shown in the video.
Thanks.

I figured recovery points would be vehicle specific,I looked around and didn't find anything, hence this thread.
I saw another item on Dahl's videos called a bash bar,it would be nice to have as well.
I wonder if the bling factor is not high enough for the American market?

Probably.

'mericans are too worried about lift kits and tires, and anything from autozone they can bolt on. :sombrero:

If I were you Id just fab or have something fab'ed that follows the suggestions provided in the web link I posted.

Which basically means, make it overkill, but appropriate for the vehicle its installed on.

As in, there is no reason to have a 50 ton recovery point that it attached to sheet metal, or to a vehicle that weighs 1500lbs.

Chet, It depends on the vehicle.

GM 4x4's have had available front tow hooks since 1967 and the receiver hitch out back is generally strong enough to be considered a recovery point out back.
Any frame mounted receiver hitch on any vehicle rated at roughly half the vehicles weight, would probably be an acceptable recovery point. An example would be a frame mounted 5000 lb hitch on the back of a Suburban would suffice.
Many of today's later model recovery hooks can be frame mounted on earlier vehicles in a similar fashion to be acceptable recovery points.
I kind of favor the 1988-98 GM frame mounted front hooks because they mount flat to the chassis and do not protrude very far past the bumper surface. They can be used in the front or rear of just about any vehicle. They have 2 very hefty high strength bolts and a nut plate that make them quite easy to mount in various locations.
