looking to pick up a 2003 E250

Might buy my step-brothers 2003 e250 V8 conversion van. 97,000 miles. Well under KBB
Its been sitting for a while but we are going to possibly strike up a deal after it passes smog.
Its 2wd, but I was wondering if there was anything I should look out for.
Probably just going to a mild lift and outfit as we go.
Starting my web searching and thought I would post in here since I already have an account.

If rust is not an issue, change fluids, plugs, filters and you'll be good to go. Down the road your vacuum tank will leak and the vent will blow whenever they want, but that's an easy fix. Ball joints and things like that may need to be changed at some point... in general, run it and fix thing as they appear. 97,000 miles is nothing.
