Bought a M101a CDN trailer July of last year, it has been slow going but looks like I am close to finishing it up. Started out with pretty rough 1980 Canadian produced military trailer and slowly with the help of a lot of sites and information off the web. I am still missing the front panels racks and the back gates, i am looking for those, but rhino lining and paint is done, i went with grey to match my 88 K5 blazer. Will post more later. Sorry pics are out of order

Looks awesome! But that's not a Canadian m101. That's an American m101a# trailer. The Canadian m101 is the same as the smaller us m416.

Nice! Great idea on the adjustable hitch channel.
What other add on you are going to do?

Mark, your build was a huge part of my inspiration, it gave me a ton of ideas I had some great welding help. I just had the side rails (metal parts) painted and I am replacing and staining the new wood slats, I am missing the front brackets and back gates but when/if I can find them I will get them done as well.

We are not big into camping but have a big ranch that we travel to as we'll as the beach. I can pull behind both my 88 k5 blazer and my truck

Can you post some close up pictures of where the front rack and rear gates mount, and maybe the approximate size they should be? The American m101 series racks might fit it.

Here are some pics of 1988 K5 blazer, I have had since 1996, and slowly been modifying it, I don't do a lot of expeditions yet, but my 2 kiddos love and the beach is close by

Not sure on red accents, I like the military grey look plus it is neutral enough I can pull behind my suburban as well and it looks just as good, I am having a guy in my shop fabricate the hinges for front and back gates, then I will get new boards cut and stain and up
This has been fun project

Post more pictures when you can.
Old man winter has kicked my trailer work in the butt. No garage and snow puts a fork in the plan!

The blazer is very nice!
