M416 Clone - Hard-mount the tub?

I'm building an M416 clone - 14 gauge sheet metal tub, 2" x 3" x .120" wall box tube frame - my question is, is it ok to hard mount the tub directly on top of the frame or should I use some kind of insulating washers/bushings in between the tub and frame? It will have a coupler that looks a lot like the Max Coupler and an independent trailing arm suspension on air bags, so I can't imagine there could be much twisting/tweaking of the frame outside of the weight of the load. If you recommend bushings, what properties would you suggest?

Thanks a bunch,
Billy

We use fiber lock nuts on everything and also use Lock-tight if needed, once it tight it will be good. But like anything its always good to perform scheduled maintenance on all of your equipment at least once a year.

I dont think the trailer will be long enough to flex much at all So you dont need it for that. However without something in there it may develop rattles. So I would suggest using something like bicycle inner tubes split lengthwise and cut to fit.

Good luck, and post some pics when your done.
