wander looking to get lost
I have had my M416 trailer for about 8 years now. Since 2011 she has had a lot of miles put on her. I moved for a year to El Paso, TX due to my final Army posting at Fort Bliss. 1 year later it was back to Virginia Beach. Then she took 3 trips from Virginia Beach to Cincinnati and back for my son's college. Then a few Boy Scout camping trips, then Junior Travel Hockey trips to N.C., S.C., MD, and PA. Its due to a rebuilding this summer.
I had an idea when I saw one of those hitch mounted crapper seats. If you can take a crap comfortably then why can't you have a table to hold all the crap you take camping, comfortably? I started with two 2" I.D. receiver tubes from Northern Tool. I had them installed on each side of the trailer in the frame just in front of the wheel fenders.

Right side

I used some scrap 2" O.D. tubing that I had. Unfortunately it is quite heavy. I have plans to make another one out of thinner wall tubing.

The board is 3/4 x 24" x 68". It needs to have the edges routed, then stained and sealed. When I have the lid made I will mount it underneath the lid. The table sits 5 people comfortably and is slightly higher than normal when sitting. You can use the table on either side and in the rear mount.
