M416 Landing Leg removal

Hi all

Making overlanding trailer out of M416 (1967). trying to remove the landing leg. I got the nut off and I can turn the bolt about 1/2 a turn i each direction, but that's about it.

Anyone got any tips on how to remove? Is it threaded in, or should I be able to remove with a hammer (I don't need it, so not concerned about damage)

figure it out. just needed a bigger hammer.

A BFH and spray both sides with penetrating fluid. Actually if it is not in the way why not leave it alone?
