M416 Shackle Help

Hi Everyone, I am working on my M416 build and am starting to put everything back together. It has been a while since I took the trailer apart and can't remember which side had the shackle with the reverse threads. I have searched this forum and found plenty of talk about the reverse threads, but no reference to which side of the trailer it applies too. I believe it came off the passenger side of the trailer, can someone please confirm, thanks in advance.

Thanks, for your response. I actually have read that article, but am still unclear where the shackle with the reverse threads goes. I currently have it installed on the passenger side of the trailer and it goes through the spring not the mounting bracket. I am 80% sure this is where I removed it from but was hoping someone who has done a build could confirm. Thanks

Yes you are correct= I currently have it installed on the passenger side of the trailer and it goes through the spring. post some pics of your project.=brian

ok I just got to ask why is there reversed threads on a shackle. I could almost buy into it on the lug nuts but on a shackle? highdesertranger
