m416 with aluminum lid in CO- SOLD

Putting out a feeler on this. m416 with custom aluminum lid. I think $1950 would be a fair price? What do you guys think?

It is a 1985 based on the manual and is registered as home built by the guy I bought it from about 6 years ago. He originally bought it and was told to register it that way.

The gray patch is primer I never bothered to paint to repair heat damage from welding when I welded the gas spring mounting plate. The gas springs and lid are both easily removable. Military tires do have some surface cracking on sides.

Considering many pay around $1000.00 just for a lid I would say that is a fair price. Good luck with the sale. Only thing I would prefer is a full articulating hitch (max coupler) and the lid to open from the side. It reminds me of my old trailer.

Hi there, is the hitch a regular 2 inch ball style? (What I have on the rover and 4runner)...Are there any issues that you know of? Do you know the weight? Thanks! I keep looking at lightweight options for the rover and this could work for us. S

The lunette ring adapter is mated to a 2" coupler. I need to get a better still photo, I think it shows in the video. I have never had any binding issues including trails such as Kokopelli's, Canyonlands Maze district to Doll House.

Listed weight of empty trailer is 670#. Add lid and other bits and pieces and I would guess 750# range.

No known issues other than what was in listing and video. Happy to answer anything specific.

Nice looking LR, I really like the older styling



Just thought of something, needs new weather stripping between lid frame and tub rail. I use camper shell foam on that part.
