Sold, thanks for all the interest.
Well, I've decided to build a teardrop or two so I don't think I'll be needing the M416 any longer
#1. I do not have a title for it. I've never been bothered towing unlicensed trailers here in NC so I didn't bother with this one either. It is easy to get though it will require removing the body from the frame to do so. It's not required but it will be much easier when the inspector doesn't know it is a military trailer instead of just a frame.
When I bought it it was in decent original condition but had several pinholes in the floor. Instead of welding them in I replaced the whole floor with 14ga. The whole body and frame was blasted to bare metal, epoxy primed and painted in rescue green to match my JKU. The interior was professionally spray lined but the brand has slipped my mind for some reason. It wasn't line X or rhino I do know.
The frame was modified at the tongue with a 2" receiver as the A1 versions did not have a rotating pintle. The A1's do have an axle that uses common 3500lb bearings and hubs allowing you to swap to any lug pattern needed. Currently it has 5x5 pattern to match my JK. The hand brake is not currently working, just needs the actual hand lever to function.
The lid was custom made by myself and is water tight. It is lift assisted with gas struts and designed to hold a RTT although I never bought one. It currently has rails on it for a rack but the Yakima ones in the pics are not included.
I will get better pics in a few days when I'm able to get it out of the garage and cleaned out of all my gear.
