I have a 1985 rockwood pop up camper with a Magnetek Series 6400 converter. I "cleaned" up the wires and thought I had done a good job. When I ground the 12v side to the frame I get nothing for power- two LED lights. When I splice the ground from the lights into the ground for the battery (which comes out of the converter) I get power. I installed a roof vent with a fan and spliced the wires from the fan into the light 12 line. No power to the fan. No power on the wires connected to the light wire (checked it with a meter).
What am I missing on this? It seems like if the lights work there should be power in the lines and when I splice in the fan there should be power.
