Malfunctioning Lights Galore

I have a 98 defender 110 300tdi. Recently lost use of headlights, tail lights, brake lights and instrument panel lights (speedo, fuel etc.) simultaneously. High beams work only when lever is held towards me- a function usually used for flashing other drivers etc. Indicators still work too.

I'm thinking maybe a relay is fried? any other ideas?

I don’t remember specific details but I had a D1 with similar issues and it ended up being the turn signal stalk assembly. They control many of those functions and tend to get dirty internally or wear out. I’d find the RAVE manual and start poking around with a test light first.
