Manual locking hubs for a pajero

Bought a set of what appeared to be Mitsubishi locking hubs and wound up with some cheap alloy junk. Bolts for the face plate stripped with hardly any tightening and the selection dial is frozen with less then half a dozen turns. Had to use a stick and rock to turn the dial back to freewheel last time I was out.

All I need is a good set of locking hubs...can anyone help...I'm stuck and slightly mistrusting any Internet sites right now.

The gaskets are the same as the Toyota 4 runner/pickup's (mitsu no longer sells them). Not sure why he doesn't note that on his website. They are an OEM mitsu hub albeit made in china for the chinese sold mitsu's.

Have you tried contacting the seller about this? He's always been a decent guy on 4x4wire (I'm one of the moderators on that site). Also, my brother-in-law makes his die cut stickers for him but that's really been the extent of my relationship with him. Heck I'm not even sure what his first name is LOL...

Yeah. I'll send him an email. Thanks eh :)
Yeah, contact him first. Any product can fail out of the box much less after some use and it's really how well the seller helps you to make it right that matters IMHO. Plus I haven't heard of these hubs having issues so far (he's been selling them for a year or two now).

Yeah. Today I had the hubs all apart today. My bad, the did have a gasket for the hub face and there isn't supposed to be one between the hub and the caliper. My bad. Turns out though I did everything correctly for the install. Still found the hubs had leaked water to the bearings.

Just to be sure, you did apply sealant between the front hub and the freewheel hub mating surfaces?
