Hi all,
Looking for suggestions on how to build out my mattress. Used the search function but didn't find quite what I was hunting for. I have a 2016 Sprinter 2500 4x4, 144" low roof. I'll be installing a pair of 80/20 benches in the rear with a middle table that I can drop and turn it into a 68"x68" bed.
I'd like to have one set of cushions that I can use for both bench mode and bed mode. We're in central Texas, but also take the van to cold spots, so I'd like something that breathes/cools well, but won't turn into a brick when we go skiing (a la memory foam). I envision two pairs of cushions - a smaller back rest (about 11"x68"x?") and a seat (~22"x68"x?").
Here's a great tutorial I found on constructing the cushions/mattress, but I'm looking for feedback on foam options/combinations and thickness to use. Also while I have a print in mind, any thoughts on picking cover material?
If it makes a difference I'm 5'8", 170lbs, a side sleeper, and prefer a medium-soft mattress.
Thanks!
Mike
