Max coupler length into receiver.

I'm finishing up building a trailer. I still need to trim the tongue down and weld on the receiver tubing.
The place I ordered the coupler from is back ordered. All I need to know is how far the coupler goes into the receiver tubing.

3.5" center/center between the hitch pin and the grease fitting. I drilled my receiver at 2.5" and used a standard receiver collar to reinforce the end. The grease fitting will be on the top or bottom, I set mine up with the fitting on top for less chance of damage.

Ok, just to clarify. It's 7" total length? I have to trim my 2x2 tongue and weld on the receiver to accept the coupler. I just want to make sure I leave enough room for the coupler. Here's a pic. I had to shove everything together to "clean" the garage.

I think overall is around 11". Center of pin to center of the 1" shank on the opposite end is 9". 6" from pin to pin (the one it comes with).

To make things a little easier, here's a photo. Somehow, my hand shifted so the measurements are from the end of the pin, rather than the center, so take 1/4" off.
