Mean green alternator east coast?

Anybody have the mean green alternator on the east coast? I'm on my second stock alternator. The place I go wheeling has clammed many alternators from us xterra drivers and I know if I get mine rebuilt again it will only last another year. Has anyone put the mean green through some mud?? I think I'm gonna get it since it has a one year no questions warranty and my last one burnt out right at a year. They have double sealed roller bearings instead of brass bushings that the stock has. I was diggin up some reviews but all I could find was stuff about the gain in amps. I need to hear some durability reviews!!!

I have one on my old Land Rover. Been there for like, 7 years? No problem.

Last year I decided I should scrape the oil/mud/awesome off of it. Every couple years I also clean the connections. Wire brush + dielectric grease. Other than that, no problems, no issues, keeps kicking butt.

I've put it that truck through all kinds of crap. Hasn't given up! If you are having starter problems and don't want to always warranty it, I'd give it a shot.

Are you referring to they're starters or alternators? I got to Badlands offroad park in IN a lot and the mud there is very sandy and gritty. It eats up our alternators real fast. It doesn't help that Nissan mounted the alternator as low as possible!!!! It's right by the passenger side upper control arm. A lot of the other xterras I wheel with will bring extra stock alternators but I would rather just get the mean green one and not have to worry about it anymore.

Love my Mean Green, but no alternator is going to last long submerged in mud. IH8MUD. :) Mine is up way high so I've never submerged it.

I found out the mean green case is the same as stock. They use stock bearings so I'm not Gonna waist my $. I found a guy that will sell me new bearings for $20 and will replace them myself.
