Meet Serenity-New Guy saying Hi-

Hello, I am a newb here, and just wanted to introduce myself and my new rig, Serenity. She is a 2001 Ford ranger EXT super cab, 4.0L 4x4. This is my first truck. I purchased with 165xxx miles on her a month ago, and took a solo shake out drive from Portland, OR to Denver CO for the holidays to see family. I am very happy with how she does, and have a good sense of the things I'd like to add and change. I added a bunk platform with storage underneath, a prop space heater (absolutely necessary!!), sleeping on 2" foam. I got the shell cap from a friend for a barter of a painting i did for her. Good deal. Anyways, the rigs on this site have really been an inspiration and help as I consider how I want to build Serenity up to get me through 4 season travel, hopefully reaching both arctic circles from this hemisphere.

Great little truck. New Ranger are still being sold here in Canada and it does not seem like it has changed a lot.

Brown Coat all the way. I'll need to look for the taco project. If I wasn't so aesthetically opposed to papyrus as a typeface, I would have the decal on the shell somewhere. Maybe I'll go blue sun.

anyways, hopefully I will have some Mylar/fleece "curtains" completed on my mothers sewing machine by the end of the day. They will be secured to the shell via velco, attached to the carpeting of the shell as the loop part. I am preparing for the return trip home, and learned some things the hard way on the first 1500 miles out here.
