Memory-Map GPS Navigation Software

Observer
I was at a outdoor shop a couple weeks ago and the owner was showing me memory map on his laptop. Seemed really nice, lets you take a 3d topographical "tour" of your planned trips...among hundreds of other options. The British 4x4 community seems to like it because its one of the only ways to be confident your driving legally off-road in the UK (or greenlaning as its called). Otherwise you could be driving on the walking/bridleways/cycling routes without knowing because they look the same at times. I decided to spend 16 pounds and buy the paper land explorer maps for two regions, instead of 99 pounds a pop for the memory map disks...but then again, I don't live here permanently. I've only heard good things about it over here(minus the obvious downside of the price, that is).
